Visiting the "Sulads"means Bro/Sis.
I'm spending my weekend in Sulads Comprehensive High School for the Lumads.I haven't visited the natives or the Manobos for many years so I missed them so much.We hiked for almost 3 hours going up cos it's raining and the trail was slippery. The normal hike is 1-2 hrs.I fall 2 times in going up to the High School but I enjoyed it a lot weird...When i reached the peak I heard the voices of the children. So, I was so eager to see them again for long years I didn't see them and esp. my students before. I was really touched when I saw them again...I was so very emotional that I can't hold my tears looking them especially when I can remembered their situation when I was with them for a year. How difficult and hard their situation and life in the mountain. While other people enjoyed life to the fullest here comes the natives and the manobos helpless and less fortunate. But I'm very glad that the volunteer teachers brought them in the jamboree. There teachers are very patient to them that they led and teach with no payment just to educate them and teach them how to read and write. I can see it in their eyes how happy the children are. They are attending the jamboree where they can see their friends and teachers in different literacy center in Mindanao. I took some pictures of the children. They were very much enjoyed attending the jamboree.

Makes Me Cry
Hi to all! L December 17. I was preparing 2 lesson plans for my 2nd & 1st yr high school class. Then, I had a hard time making my lesson plan cos there’s a lot of format to follow hahaha. I realized that being a teacher is not an easy task. Especially like me now I’m still practicing how to teach, I thought before that it’s easy to teach but but now I found out that it’s so hard especially when you are not master in the subject matter of the lesson.
To be a teacher requires patient, perseverance, self-discipline and many more. Ay naku! Now, I can say that being a teacher is a noble work. Why? There's no doctor, nurses, and many courses if there is no teachers. Though some people say mag teacher nalang ka. To continue hehehhe…I was much pressured on that day because in the morning I'm in my class for 3 hours then in the afternoon I went to school for my class again. I can say that I'm not prepared to face my class and for short I'm not doing my best. But I still met my students on that very afternoon. After that I was so shocked that the first comment of my supervising teacher. Know what the 1st comment was YOUR NOT DOING YOUR BEST! Then I got low grade. Oh! my I was very sad. I regretted why I’m not doing my best on that afternoon so embarrassing. It MAKES ME CRY. I learned a lesson on that very day that in everything that I do, do it with all my might. Whatever is the outcomes as long as I do my best I don’t have regret. So what about you? Did you do your best?If your not a teacher. So to be a mother,daughter/son, wife/husband and a friend? Have a good day!

Kindness Pays!
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal
he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"
"You don't owe me anything," she replied "Mother has taught us never to accept payment for a kindness." He said... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt; stronger physically, but his faith;in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came
from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he we nt in to see her. He recognized her
at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case. After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally, she looked, and something caught ; her attention on the side as She read these words.....
"Paid in full with one glass of milk." (Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You, GOD, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

Touching Story For Me
It's 9:22 am here and I am in a very deep thought. I remember my past life and it makes me realized how God blessed me so much. When I am looking at the webpage of my friends it seems like we have thing in common, like we have so many challenges in life and that trials always come in. Life is not so easy for me just before I came to MVC. I grow up in a family that can not afford to give you even sometimes a simple things that you longed for when you are still kid. I remember I have so many things that I wish to have when I am still young, not luxurious one but just a very basic things that kids want, like chocolates, dolls, candies , and so on..but those wishes are just dreams and carried by the wind. Well it doesn't mean that I blame my parents of our poverty before. But the good thing is I have parent who loved me.
I must tell that because of my faith in God I over come whatever it is, a life that I am hoping for. Now , I will share with you my life story. I can remember how I insist my mother to send me in Adventist institution(MVC) since she doesn't want me go far away it's not because of financial problem because I will work hard for it but because she will gonna miss me. I always find many ways so I can achieve my dreams and plans in life. I work after school when I'm in my final year in high school ( working in one of our teachers) so I can save for my fare and expenses. And because of that my mother seen my hard work so she finally allow me to leave our place. And from then on, my life started to change. My stay in MVC is not that easy for the first time. I had tried to work as a full timer in the barn- in sugar cane plantation, it wasn't that easy but when I asked God to give me work that is not hard He answered my prayer. I worked as a missionary that makes my faith more strong (ADRA). God is so amazing co'z He always do such a great things in my life.
I am so thankful for the people who helped me during my stay in MVC, without them I may not be able to come this far and above all, to our heavenly God.
I've done so many wrongs in my life when I stay out from school,.I started to act like non-christians but of course I still have my faith. I let myself to be engaged to something which is not supposed to..But I also have some reasons why it happens. I've have so many experiences in life that someone might hard to cope it, family, friends, love life I have different stories from all of that. But thanks God for I was able to carry different things in life and He always give chances to me. Those mistakes in life will never be happen again with Gods guidance..Thank you Lord for giving me this life that I had now, thank you for my loving husband and wonderful in-laws.I pray that you will always blessed our marriage and that help us to realized always that without you, we are useless.
Thats all folks! This is not my story but my friends story.
